Menopause commonly affects skin hydration, pigmentation and collagen which affects skin volume and glow
– Antonia David |
Elemental Herbology has launched the Pause & Renew Gel Mask to help reverse symptoms of perimenopausal and menopausal skin.
Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine – and the first product in the brand’s range to support the menopausal life stage, the mask combines a selection of adaptogens, vitamins and antioxidants.
The formula is claimed to deliver intense hydration and boost collagen production to help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Key ingredients include: • Ashwagandha: An adaptogenic herb claimed to possess stress-relieving and antioxidant properties to increase collagen production, boost hydration, reduce inflammation and enhance cell regeneration. • Red clover: Incorporated to help protect the skin from oxidative damage, while boosting collagen production and hydration for plump, firm and smooth skin. • Niacinamide: A vitamin B3 complex which helps to improve pigmentation, boost radiance, strengthen the skin’s protective barrier and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. • Aurafirm: Derived from fermented oats and a rich source of the lactobacillus bacteria, this ingredient is claimed to support the healthy functioning of the skin microbiome and provides firming and hydrating benefits. • Pentavitin: Derived from corn kernels, pentavitin can bind to the skin's natural keratin and form a moisture barrier that helps prevent water loss and leaves the skin plump, dewy and hydrated.
Vegan and suitable for all skin types, the mask also contains lavender, geranium, frankincense and patchouli essential oils to provide a calming and balancing aroma.
Elemental Herbology’s head of education, Antonia David, said: “Menopause commonly affects skin hydration, makes adult acne and pigmentation more prominent and depletes collagen which affects skin volume and glow.
“Embracing these changes with a tailored skincare routine that includes ingredients to increase collagen and elastin production, boost hydration, cool and reduce inflammation, strengthen the skin barrier, increase radiance and encourage a more even skin tone will ensure that the skin not only looks its best, but is also functioning healthily.”
Elemental Herbology has incorporated the new mask into its signature 90-minute Metal Longevity Facial.
