Nilo Spa Design has collaborated with leading wellness architect and designer Alberto Apostoli to create the Eterea Cabin – a collection of contemporary, functional and elegant treatment room furniture.
Designed for spa professionals to use with ease, each element has been crafted to stimulate the five senses, using natural materials inspired by the five elements of Taoist philosophy (fire, earth, metal, water, wood). In addition to cutting-edge technological solutions, the result is an enveloping environment designed to promote complete sensory immersion during treatment.
The shapes of the pieces in the collection feature essential lines, light volumes and neutral shades. Stylised lighting creates the impression of a suspended atmosphere, with the subtle line of a horizon that serves as a symbol of the encounter between matter and spirit, as well as between body and emotion. Apostoli was inspired by the tension towards the immaterial, which is visible in the collection’s style and composition.
Designed to meet the challenges of a constantly evolving market, Eterea stands out for its configurability – it offers modular and customisable pieces that can be easily adapted to the available space and integrated with advanced systems for fully equipped cabins.
The range includes beds with backlit bases and storage compartments, stools, mobile work trolleys, and freestanding units with integrated washbasins. Wall units are available in wood, stone or with integrated lighting.
These can be enhanced with shelves, display cases, storage compartments and sensory accessories such as aroma diffusers, biofireplaces, audio systems and hygiene sterilisation systems.
To complete the setup, ceiling-mounted structures diffuse light and heat for a truly total spa experience.
Massimiliano Prato said, “With the cabin designed by Alberto Apostoli, we sought to turn the everyday treatment room into an architectural experience, making it essential, immersive and profoundly spiritual.”
