Six exclusive dark chocolate treatments featuring ‘The great American chocolate bar’ are featured at a new day spa in Hershey, Pennsylvania, US.
Melt Spa by Hershey – located on the aptly named East Chocolate Avenue – has a menu that takes full advantage of Americans’ love of the iconic chocolate.
A Dark Chocolate Dipped Coconut treatment is a coconut sugar scrub followed by a Hershey’s Dark Chocolate Body Wrap, while a Hershey’s Cocoa Facial incorporates the beneficial properties of the cacao fruit, which is high in antioxidants.
The spa also offers chocolate-themed manicures and pedicures, along with a series of Cuban treatments – inspired by the eponymous company town the chocolate tycoon Milton Hershey built in Cuba – and rose treatments to honour Milton Hershey’s wife, Catherine, who was an avid rose gardener.
The spa also offers a variety of hair styling, makeup and waxing services – without the chocolate – as well as more traditional spa offerings, such as Swedish, hot stone and aromatherapy massages, and a variety of Sothy’s facials.
The spa has a connection to the nearby Hotel Hershey, but is located in a repurposed Hershey Company office building that previously housed the Hershey Drug Store, known for its old-time soda fountain.
