The intimate new spa invites guests to engage in an immersive wellness journey / L’OCCITANE en Provence
L'OCCITANE en Provence is pleased to announce the opening of the Spa by L’OCCITANE at Casa da Companhia, Vignette Collection IHG hotel, a charming boutique hotel nestled in the heart of the Portuguese city of Porto.

This partnership introduces a new dimension to wellness within the hotel, drawing upon L’OCCITANE en Provence’s expertise. Casa da Companhia’s tranquil atmosphere and deep-rooted connection to Porto’s rich history come together with L’OCCITANE’s Provençal art of living and dedication to wellbeing, creating a serene space for guests to enjoy a relaxing multi-sensory escape.

A place to unwind and discover Porto’s timeless charm
Casa da Companhia, once home to the iconic Real Companhia Velha, offers a haven steeped in history. Nestled on Rua das Flores, one of the city’s historic centre’s most iconic streets, the hotel is housed in one of the five most emblematic buildings of the avenue.

Originally built in the 16th century by Brás Brandão, a prominent noble merchant of Porto, Casa da Companhia holds centuries of stories within its walls. With 40 thoughtfully designed rooms, including 11 suites, the hotel has become a hallmark for luxury since its opening in July 2021.

As the latest addition to its carefully crafted services, the Spa by L’OCCITANE enhances guests’ experience even further, inviting them to relax in a space where Portugal and Provence’s sense of hospitality meet together, thanks to L’OCCITANE en Provence expert treatments and natural based products.

Both Casa da Companhia and L’OCCITANE en Provence are united in their dedication to warmth, authenticity and commitment to making each guest feel genuinely cared for in every detail of their stay.

A made-to-measure offering at the Spa by L’OCCITANE
In a peaceful space dedicated to nurturing guests’ holistic wellbeing, Casa da Companhia Spa by L’OCCITANE offers a variety of treatments designed to restore balance, harmony and provide guests with multi-sensory experiences catered to their needs.

At the Spa by L’OCCITANE, guests can enjoy the exclusive made-to-measure treatment offerings, with a selection of personalised facials and body treatments designed to meet individual needs.

The experience is highly customisable, allowing guests to choose between a facial, body treatment, or a combination of both, selecting their preferred massage technique, duration and even their choice of L’OCCITANE en Provence product range or body oil scent for a fully immersive experience.

For even more personalisation, short complementary treatments (lasting 15 minutes) can be added, targeting specific areas such as the scalp, eye contour, neck and décolleté. This approach provides a more comprehensive and tailored wellbeing experience for each individual.

The following treatments are available at the Spa by L’OCCITANE:
Facial Treatments (2 techniques): Firmness, Glow (30//60 min)
Body Treatments (3 techniques): Relaxation, Intensity, Detox (30//60//90 min)
Complementary Treatments (15 min): Instant Eye Lift, Neck and Décolleté Massage, Gua Sha Massage and Scalp Massage.
Exclusive hotel treatments: Hot Stone Massage (60//90 min) and Foot Reflexology (30 min).

Treatments such as the Glow facial, which uses a drainage protocol, and the Firmness facial, focused on lifting techniques, are crafted with L’OCCITANE’s renowned Divine, Shea and Reotier product ranges, drawing from the natural potency of each ingredient.
Meanwhile, massages are provided using L’OCCITANE en Provence’s signature oils, including the brand’s Almond Oil, Revitalizing Oil and Shea Oil.

With a treatment room suited for two persons, an indoor heated swimming pool, dedicated sauna and hammam areas and a fitness room, the spa invites guests to engage in an immersive wellness journey.

“Partnering with Casa da Companhia allows L’OCCITANE en Provence to create a wellness sanctuary that speaks to the heart of Provence and Porto,” said Marina Glover, global spa partnerships director, L’OCCITANE en Provence.

“Both brands share a deep respect for their roots and a commitment to crafting authentic, immersive experiences. This collaboration is an exciting step in bringing L’OCCITANE’s multi-sensory approach to wellbeing into a setting where history and luxury come together beautifully.”

Treatments that respect nature
By partnering with Spa by L’OCCITANE, Casa da Companhia reinforces its dedication to sustainable luxury. As a B-Corp certified brand, L’OCCITANE en Provence is committed to working towards greater ethical sourcing, the protection of biodiversity and reducing environmental impact.

For this reason, each product used in the spa has been carefully crafted with respect for nature, in alignment with the hotel's ethos of sustainability and sophistication.

Manuel Leite, GM of Casa da Companhia Hotel, said: “We value our partnership with L’OCCITANE as it is a brand which is very well aligned with our positioning. It will definitely be a huge contributor for a standout presence within Porto's luxury market, and this partnership reflects our commitment to align with brands that resonate with our core values and aspirations.

“Sustainability, trust and responsibility are not just ideals for us; they're the essence of what we aim to achieve.”
