Martin’s wireless way with lighting

Two new devices from lighting specialist, Martin Professional, offer a fast and easy line-of-sight method of connecting remote lighting to your DMX system.

The Wireless DMX-512 and DMX-512 Pro Diversity transmitter boxes need only to be within range of the lighting units, rather than at the end of great lengths of cable with unreliable connectors.

The DMX-512 is aimed at architectural, installation and smaller event applications, has a range of up to 200m/650ft and can be set up via a pc and pc-based controller.

The Pro-Diversity model is ideal for stage, studio and event applications, where quick set-up is important and operating distances are greater. It is configurable from a front-panel display and has a range of 300m/1000ft.

Both versions operate via radio signals, transmitted between the mother box and receivers, and both can be set up as either a transmitter or a receiver.
