After refining and enhancing the formula, we’re proud to introduce a new, more active version that works beautifully on all hair types and scalp conditions
– Jeanette Thottrup
Seed to Skin Tuscany has harnessed the power of Italian botanicals and its advanced Green Molecular Science to create a new shampoo and conditioner duo, designed to boost hair vitality, shine and resilience.

“The Revival Shampoo and Conditioner were borne out of our personal mission to create the perfect solution for our founder Jeanette’s fine, frizzy hair,” explained Anna Buonacoure, Seed to Skin cosmetic scientist. “We wanted something that could add shine without losing volume – so we crafted a formula that nourishes deeply, from scalp to strand.”

Initially launched as premium amenities for guests at Seed to Skin's Tuscan flagship, Borgo Santo Pietro, the products quickly gained popularity. “Guests loved them so much, they wanted to take them home,” explained Jeanette Thottrup, Seed to Skin’s founder and owner.

“We knew we had something special but wanted to make it even better. After refining and enhancing the formula, we're proud to introduce a more active version that suits all hair types and scalp conditions.”

The new haircare formulations are sustainably packaged in aluminum bottles and are also available in travel sizes as part of The Traveller Collection Kit, which includes two different types of shower gels.

The Revival Shampoo
The low-foam shampoo has been developed to delicately and thoroughly purify the hair, helping to preserve its essential lipid barrier and promote shine, vitality and volume from root to tip.

Key ingredients include horsetail extract, moringa and hydrolysed quinoa protein, combined with a revitalising blend of essential oils like bergamot, grapefruit, lemon peel, litsea cubeba, rosemary, rose geranium, and pink pepper.

The Revival Conditioner
Seed to Skin’s new restorative conditioner relies on mineral and amino acid-rich thermal plankton, olive leaf extract and rosemary extract to deeply nourish and replenish the hair and scalp.

Infused with uplifting notes of bergamot, grapefruit, rosemary litsea cubeba, rose geranium and lemon peel, the product is claimed to help purify, balance and stimulate growth, leaving a lingering citrus fragrance for a relaxing haircare experience that awakens the senses.

Heading in a new direction
Since the pandemic, skincare has seen a surge in popularity, and haircare has quickly followed suit, with consumers now investing more in their hair health and building dedicated routines to achieve healthier, stronger locks.

This growing interest has paved the way for the rise of specialised "headspas", scalp-focused wellness treatments and the launch of dedicated hair wellness brands. High-end operators, including Rosewood and Mandarin Oriental, have tapped into this booming trend and expanded their spa menus to cater to hair and scalp care.

Spa Business identified haircare and scalp wellness as a major trend to watch in the 2024 foresight section of the annual Spa Business Handbook – click here to dive into more insights about the ‘skinification’ of haircare.
