Sea, salt, sand, sound: Spa at Auberge Beach Fort Lauderdale now open
POSTED 25 Feb 2019 . BY Jane Kitchen
The Spa at Auberge Beach, designed by spa consultant Tracy Lee of TLee Spas, is designed to awaken guests’ vitality amidst bright open spaces and outdoor terraces.
Auberge Beach Residences & Spa has opened the doors to the 15,000-plus square-foot The Spa at Auberge Beach, designed by spa consultant Tracy Lee of TLee Spas.

Influenced by Florida’s abundant elements of sea, salt, sand and sound, the spa is open to both residents and the public, and is designed to awaken guests’ vitality amidst bright open spaces and outdoor terraces.

Set on the shores of Fort Lauderdale, land and sea’s rejuvenating elements are incorporated throughout every aspect of the spa, which has been conceived by The Related Group, Fortune International Group, Fairwinds Group and Auberge Resorts Collection.

The spa includes all-natural treatments inspired by the destination to enliven the spirit.

“With balance and mindfulness at the forefront of all our treatments at The Spa at Auberge Beach, residents and guests will be able to incorporate a holistic approach into their everyday healthy lifestyle,” said Linda Higgs, director of spa & wellness. “Every treatment here will be experienced through touch, sight, smell, sound and taste. From our carefully chosen spa treatments to our pre- and post-service amenities, our philosophy focuses on integrating the power of the whole body for optimal well-being.”

The five-sense journey begins when guests enter the glass-encased lobby designed by Meyer Davis and are welcomed with curated scents and personalised attention from the staff.

The spa includes 14 treatment rooms and three garden cabanas surrounded by lush landscaping, expansive outdoor terraces and fire pits.

The golden Floridian sand and azure of the Atlantic inspired the interiors, which feature pale oak and teak wood finishes, earthy hues donning the walls and furnishings along with blue marble accents.

An extensive treatment menu offers therapies used to balance and restore the body, purify the skin, detoxify organs, optimise immune function, stimulate weight loss, relieve pain for overall well-being and more.

Signature treatments include the Self-Guided Vitality Ritual, which begins with a session in the Sound Meditation Lounge to bring the mind into a deep meditative state through a curated selection of music and sounds. The journey continues with a visit to the Salt Cave, also known as halotherapy, which is said to help support the immune, nervous and lymphatic systems, reducing stress and headaches, increasing energy and bettering sleep patterns.

Guests can then head into the Infrared Sauna, which provides panels of Far Infrared for detoxification. Finally, the ritual concludes by alternating hot and cold sensations with the Hot Steam Room and Cool Deluge Shower, featuring a nine-jetted water feature and overhead rain shower.

In addition to the Self-Guided Vitality Ritual, the spa also offers the Auberge Anthology, a trio of signature treatments conceived at Auberge’s Napa Valley flagship resort, Auberge du Soleil, and available at all Auberge resort spas. The 80-minute treatments comprise:
· “Restore and Balance Massage” blending aromatic compresses, stretches, deep-tissue techniques and muscle-soothing essential oils while guests are cocooned in Gharieni’s Quartz bed
· “Auberge Heaven and Earth Body Treatment”, a head-to-toe organic body treatment to smooth, soothe and hydrate; beginning with a Bamboo Lemongrass foaming body scrub, stimulating scalp massage and culminating with an in-room steam shower and series of hydrating serums, toners and body creams
· “Best of Auberge Facial” uses highly active skin care products and the latest aesthetic technology, such as micro-current and rejuvenating light therapy, to lift, tone and repair skin balance.

The Spa at Auberge Beach also offers an eclectic menu of specialised treatments, including the Quartz Sand, Sound & CBD Body Wrap, a dry-brush exfoliation that prepares the body for a warm cocoon of CBD- infused oils to soothe muscles before relaxing into a warm Quartz sand bed; couples’ treatments, pre-natal massages, sports massages, reflexology and more.

As a full-service beauty and wellness destination, The Spa at Auberge Beach also offers a variety of aesthetic treatments, skincare products, and salon services.

The Spa at Auberge Beach features custom facials with skincare brands Babor, Eminence Organic Skin Care and ISUN. Specialised facial treatments include HydraFacial, Neck, Décolleté and Eye Diamond Collagen Treatments, Microcurrent Firming Face Treatments, Facial Peels, Enzyme Peels and more.

“We are delighted to introduce the Auberge standard to Fort Lauderdale and bring a world-class wellness and lifestyle experience to residents, visitors and the community,” said Craig Reid, president and CEO, Auberge Resorts Collection. “From massage rituals to sound therapy meditation, the influence of the sunny seaside destination will flow throughout the guest experience. Our team has paid close attention to every step of the wellness journey so that guests will leave awakened and renewed after every visit.”
