The spa will provide experiences incorporating the local mineral water that's been used as a healing tool for centuries
European health spa hotel operator Ensana has announced plans to operate its first Bulgarian location this October.

Launched in 2019, Ensana manages 27 hotels in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and the UK, many of which are located in historic spa towns renowned for their natural healing resources and restorative properties.

The new facility – called the Aquahouse Hotel & Spa – is located in the Northern Bulgarian seaside resort town of Sts. Constantine & Helena. The destination has long been a historic wellness tourist hotspot thanks to its naturally occurring mineral springs, discovered by the ancient Romans in the 4th century BC.

Ensana will take over the management of the hotel on 1 October 2023.

Newly constructed and opened in 2022, the 400-key location will provide a full range of health spa and wellness procedures all based on the healing properties of the local water.

In a nod to this, the hotel is complete with an array of indoor and outdoor pools as well as an extensive water and thermal zone including steam baths and various saunas.

Experienced professionals will offer a full range of services from medical spa treatments to luxury wellness and beauty procedures.

”We’re very happy to announce that we’re extending the Ensana brand to Bulgaria, a country with a rich spa history dating back to ancient Roman times, “ says Frank Halmos, CEO of Ensana.

“The company will bring its extensive expertise in running seamless operations and providing unique health concepts combining natural resources and expert medical knowledge.”

The news of the Bulgarian resort marks the second pipeline announcement from Ensana in 2023. In March, the group revealed its plan to open its first location in Greece.
