CIDESCO's 63rd annual congress set for South Africa
POSTED 17 Feb 2015 . BY Helen Andrews
CIDESCO’s president Anna-Cari Gund said: "Delegates can look forward to participating in discussions on key industry issues, networking with colleagues and discovering the beauty of this fascinating country"
CIDESCO will host its 63rd World Congress and Exhibition in Johannesburg, South Africa, from the 20-25 May this year under the theme “Skin is Alive”. The event will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Speakers will address the latest trends, procedures, ingredients, business management skills and financial advice for the beauty and spa industry. Additional topics covered by key speakers include: “Harvesting skin” by Dr Ridwan Mia; “Hormones and how they affect the skin” by Dr Robert Weiss; “Micro needling versus mesotherapy” by Dr Des Fernandes; and “Treatments for clients with diabetes” by podiatrist Dr Dennis Reebok.

During the event, CIDESCO will offer a series of workshops and meetings for its members.

Open to CIDESCO national section representatives, the institution will hold its annual general assembly on Friday 22 May to discuss its future plans and development within the industry.

Building on the progress made at last year's congress in Athens, Greece, the 2015 main congress and exhibition will take place between 23-25 May.

On the last day, professionals and students will compete in the annual CIDESCO International make-up competition – for which this year’s theme is “African Fauna and Flora”.

“Delegates can look forward to participating in discussions on key industry issues, networking with colleagues and discovering the beauty of this fascinating country,” said CIDESCO’s president Anna-Cari Gund. “We are grateful to our CIDESCO section South African Association of Health and Skincare Professionals (SAAHSP) for kindly hosting this year’s World Congress and Exhibition.”
