CBD-infused skincare line, Color Up has announced a new CBD training course and scholarship programme.

The company has added to its existing catalogue of CBD training programmes and upgraded its Cannabis Master Programme to include another pathway dedicated to training wellness professionals.

The Master Programme originally launched in 2019 with only two educational tracks for estheticians and massage therapists. Since then, more than 800 professionals have signed up.

The new wellness professionals course is designed to educate yoga instructors, fitness instructors, nutritionists and holistic practitioners about the natural benefits of incorporating CBD into professional and personal practices.

The self-led, online course costs US$504 (£395, €432) and includes Color Up classes’ core modules on the history of cannabis, ranging from modern-day uses to the science behind its efficacy, in partnership with the endocannabinoid system.

Taught by Color Up’s president of education, Emily Davis, and VP of education, Liz Aigner, the new class can take as long as desired to be completed and those who successfully finish the course will receive a certificate of attendance.

The Master Programme for wellness professionals includes the following modules:
  • Compassion, connection and CBD: the central nervous system response

  • Cough, cold and flu: can cannabinoids help us heal?

  • Social phobias and CBD

  • Athletes, weekend warriors and CBD

  • Insomnia and CBD

  • CBD and travelling

New scholarships
Color Up has also announced the introduction of four scholarships available to licensed estheticians and massage therapists to enrol in the programme.

It’s offering two 50 per cent and two full scholarships – one each for estheticians and one for massage therapists – to attend the Master Course.

Scholarship recipients will also receive a complimentary Skincare Retail Starter Kit or Massage Retail Kit.

The deadline for scholarship entries, which may be submitted personally or by nomination, is 30 September 2020. Recipients will be announced on 7 October.

More details about the Cannabis Master Programme can be found here.
