Hana-Maui Resort’s reimagined spa menu celebrates tropical Hawaiian healing rituals
POSTED 17 Dec 2020 . BY Megan Whitby
The new menu has been devised to let guests truly immerse themselves in traditional Hawaiian healing modalities
Following its transition to the Hyatt brand under Destination Hotels, Hāna-Maui Resort in Hawaii has debuted a refreshed wellness menu.

Nestled along the famed 'road to Hāna', known for its natural beauty and wild rainforests, the tropical Hawaiian retreat is set in one of the most remote areas on the island of Maui and is offering new wellness experiences.

The reimagined spa menu spans indigenous healing techniques such as a Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage, blending massage techniques and rhythmic motions with a spiritual component to restore energy, plus a Pōhaku Wela Hot Stone Massage.

Guests are also offered body treatments, such as the Aloha Kai Spirulina Body Wrap, consisting of a full-body sea salt exfoliation followed by application of vitamin-rich Hawaiian spirulina, to cleanse and reduce water retention.

New facial remedies include the Island Glow Facial which incorporates handcrafted products sourced from the local jungle and products supplied by Oshan Essentials – all of which are harvested and processed on a fully-sustainable and eco-friendly farm.

Hyatt has completed the menu with a signature Honua Mana Laʻi & Aloe Treatment, which begins with a soothing application of Hawaiian aloe vera gel coupled with a cooling ti leaf overlay, to rehydrate and nourish the skin.

Therapists will conclude the treatment by treating guests to a scalp, neck and foot massage to round out the experience.

The new menu has been devised to let guests truly immerse themselves in traditional Hawaiian healing modalities and relax and rejuvenate in a tranquil tropical setting.

The ocean-view spa features nine treatment rooms and offers indoor-outdoor showers, hot and cold plunge pools, a steam pool, outdoor Jacuzzis and a sauna for a relaxing wellness journey.

It’s offering is completed with a Hāna-Maui Resort also features a spacious wellness centre featuring fitness equipment, a yoga pavilion and a spa boutique selling local products created by ACACIA and Malie.
