International beauty and spa therapy standard-setter, Comité International d'Esthétique et de Cosmétologie (CIDESCO), held its 63rd World Congress & Exhibition in Sandton, South Africa last month, bringing together more than 300 CIDESCO members and industry professionals from around the world.
Education was top of the agenda at the five-day annual event, and the theme of “Skin is Alive” provided an opportunity for members to discuss the importance of education in the industry, as well as the latest in skincare.
Topics explored included harvesting skin, hormones and how they affect skin, micro-needling vs. mesotherapy, and treating clients with diabetes.
The General Assembly, which included the board and national CIDESCO section representatives, also discussed plans for the organisation’s 70th anniversary in 2016, as well as the next World Congress & Exhibition, which takes place in September 2016 in Dublin.
