Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to manage a luxury hotel in Salahah, Oman.

The 400-bedroom Mövenpick Resort & Spa Salalah will comprise three restaurants – serving buffet, seafood and Lebanese dishes – several bars; swimming pools; a spa and health centre; a Kids Club for toddlers and boutiques; several meeting rooms; a banquet hall and a business centre.

It will be located within a 9.5 million sq m (102 million sq ft) leisure complex featuring tropical gardens and artificial lagoons.

Leisure facilities at the resort will include an 18-hole golf course; marina; several more hotels; restaurants; 550 villas and 600 apartments as well as retail outlets.

Orascom Hotels & Developments plans to open the holiday resort in 2009.
