The latest addition to Dubai’s booming spa industry, the Retreat Health & Spa, will open at the Grosvenor House West Marina Beach by Le Méridien in May.

The spa will be located on the fourth floor of the 45-storey hotel and will include seven treatment rooms and a private double suite, a rasul shower, steamrooms, saunas, Cleopatra baths and a hair and nail studio.

Treatments will be provided by Pevonia and include aromatherapy, facials and body wraps.

Grosvenor House West Marina will have 217 sea-view rooms as well as 205 apartments facing the marina. Facilities include a number of restaurants and an outdoor swimming pool.

Pam Wilby, general manager, said: “With the rapid development of the hospitality sector in Dubai, we have to create something very different.

“We plan a 60:40 split between business and tourism, but with the exceptional demand for the leisure markets in Europe in particular, we expect our facilities to appeal to guests who can enjoy all the resort amenities.”
