Global Wellness Summit (GWS) has kicked off the sixth season of its wellness podcast
Podcast has been renamed Global Wellness Conversations (GWC)
The Global Wellness Summit (GWS) has kicked off the sixth season of its wellness podcast which has recently been renamed Global Wellness Conversations (GWC).

First recorded at the 2019 GWS in Singapore, GWC has grown into an informative year-round series in conversation with leading voices in the business of wellness.

While informed by the annual summit, the podcast name change was decided on to reflect the approachable and practical conversational dialogue in each episode.

Podcast host and industry figure Kim Marshall steers each episode and guides interviewees to not only provide industry insights but also share their own personal stories and business highs and lows.

She told Spa Business: “We’re so happy that our new name better reflects the soul of the podcast - open, approachable, ongoing and important conversations about a wide range of wellness topics.”

The GWC podcast – which for the first time will be available on demand via the official GWS YouTube Channel – is designed to make topics influencing the business of wellness accessible to the world at large.

So far, episodes this season feature Belgin Aksoy, founder of Global Wellness Day (GWD) and Dr Michael Roizen, professor at the Lerner College of Medicine of Cleveland Clinic at Case Western Reserve University, GWS 2021 co-chair and chief wellness officer emeritus, Cleveland Clinic.

Podcast guests still to come this season include:

Carolee Lee, founder of Women’s Health Access Matters (WHAM). Hear how the creator of one of the fashion industry’s most popular accessory brands used her powerhouse circle of female friends to change a long-accepted reality in the medical world.

Susie Ellis, co-founder and CEO of the GWS and Global Wellness Institute. Find out the origin story behind this modern-day wellness icon. Hear how she was driven to establish credibility for the wellness industry by establishing an independent research institute that quantifies the global wellness economy and provides scientific evidence supporting wellness modalities. Ellis also shares her organisation’s forward-looking trends for 2022 and her predictions for the future of the business of wellness.

The podcast is free to listen to on Apple and Google Podcasts, Spotify, Audible and everywhere podcasts are available.

S’Well The Agency, a public relations and strategy firm specialising in wellness storytelling, produces the GWC podcast with Nova Media, a full-service podcast production agency.
