Virgin Active reopens Mayfair club
POSTED 18 Dec 2018 . BY Tom Walker
The Mayfair relaunch is part of Virgin Active's UK-wide redevelopment programme, which has seen a number of clubs, including the one in Kensington (pictured) refurbished
Virgin Active has reopened its Mayfair club with a renewed focus on group classes.

Hosting more than 200 classes each week, the club has introduced a number of new disciplines – including Reformer Pilates and Hot Yoga.

The relaunch of the central London club is part of Virgin Active's UK-wide redevelopment programme.

Virgin has identified studios and group exercise as its focus for the future and enhancements have been either completed or planned at a further seven clubs – including sites in Kensington, Angel and Wandsworth.

During 2018, an additional 24 programmable spaces have been added across the estate, with 17 new studios and a total floor space increase of 15 per cent.

The redevelopments are at the heart of Virgin Active’s 360-degree wellness strategy, which is underpinned by an "awareness of member need and focuses on creating an inclusive, studio-rich and personalised wellness environment all under one roof.”

At the Mayfair site, the timetable features signature Virgin Active group exercise programming, including a brand-new debut of Lift and Row classes.
