According to the latest survey of global travel statistics from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), international tourist arrivals worldwide have risen by more than 6 per cent to 252 million in the months from January through to April.

This represents an additional 15 million arrivals when compared with the same period last year, with the Asia-Pacific region achieving the strongest growth, followed by Africa.
