Dubai healthcare laws are too tough on existing massage therapists: Daniella Russell

Previously qualified beauty and massage therapists are struggling to meet the
regulatory requirements of the Dubai Health Authority’s (DHA) professional
licensing unification laws for medical practitioners – launched in 2013 – according
to Daniella Russell, director of dR Global, a spa consultancy, training and
distribution company.

The So Spa at the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa will open in Q3 this
year as part of an estimated 12 to 18-month HK$20m (US$2.6m €1.8m,
£1.5m) refurbishment of all accommodation, public areas, conference rooms
and landscaping.

State of Qatar steps up employment transparency ahead of 2022

kafala – system for foreign workers with a system based on employment
contracts to strengthen existing labour laws in time for the 2022 World Cup.

Hyatt plans to open hotel in Kazakhstan in 2017

Hyatt has entered into a management agreement with real estate developers,
Tavros Investment Holding, for a hotel in Almaty, Kazakhstan – set to open in
2017 as part of Hyatt’s expansion plans.
