Publishers A & C Black have released Morc Coulson and David Archer's The Advanced Fitness Instructor's Handbook – 978-14081-01469 – for fitness instructors and those who coach sports.
Following on from their previous title The Fitness Instructor's Handbook, the book is said to cover much of the theory behind exercise physiology via sections referred to as 'The Science'.
These sections are intended to provide an in-depth description relating to the topic discussed for readers who want to investigate a more scientific approach to coaching and instructing. Each chapter also contains examples, or 'case studies' relating to a practical application of the theory discussed in the chapter.
The Advanced Fitness Instructor's Handbook also works in conjunction with its predecessor by helping to provide what is described as a complete coverage of the required knowledge content for the 'Instructing Health and Fitness' qualification at level two and the 'Instructing Physical Activity and Exercise' qualification at level three.
The 208-page paperback is available now.
