I’m convinced that an important commitment during the transition to a green economy is the best strategy for our species, if we want to maintain and improve quality of life
– Davide Bollati |
The Davines group, together with skincare brands Comfort Zone and Skin Regimen, has introduced its sustainability results achieved in 2019 and outlined the new goals for 2020.
This year’s report marks an important milestone for the company, as 2020 is the first year the report has shifted from paper to digital and is now only published in an online format.
According to the group, this is an important step to minimise its carbon footprint as well as continuing to spread the culture of sustainability between partners and consumers.
The report outlines three main performance sections – People, Planet and Community – with some of the most notable achievements from 2019 including 95 per cent of Parma office executives and top-level managers at the branch offices committing to sustainability goals, as well as the company offsetting CO2 levels from major company events and staff commuting in Parma, on top of the overall CO2 product offsetting.
Moreover, the company received a renewal of its B Corp certification with a score increase to 117.4, testifying to the group’s true commitment to these themes.
Davines Group president and Comfort Zone CEO, Davide Bollati, shared his vision: "I’m convinced that an important commitment during the transition to a green economy or, even better, to a regenerative economy, is not necessarily the solution to all our problems, but is the best strategy for our species, if we want to maintain and improve quality of life".
Comfort Zone has always had a deep philosophy of environmentalism, which led it to envision, conceive and build one of the world’s first carbon-positive headquarters in Parma, Italy, which runs on sustainable energy and sits at the heart of the organisation.
In other news, Comfort Zone has also recently launched its revamped website.
Barbara Gavazzoli, director of communications for the Davines' skincare division, commented on the launch: “The new website is a very important milestone in comfort zone’s evolution.
“It’s a key asset within a broader marketing and communication strategy meant to elevate our positioning within the digital arena and increase our brand awareness.”
