Aquaform is designing water as an experience

Water is no longer a functional element, but a sensory language capable of activating perception in the Spa guest, engaging body and mind and transforming space into experience.
– Stefano Moretti, CEO

In the world of spa design, reducing water to a functional component misses the point. Aquaform starts from a different premise – that water is a design material capable of provoking emotional and sensory responses.

The Italian company has built its identity on an approach that goes beyond traditional hydrotherapy. It's not about installing showers or jets, but about orchestrating experiences. Each solution is conceived to activate perception by combining temperature, pressure, light, sound and aromas into a coherent system.

The result is clear: the spa journey is no longer a place where you experience a sequence of functions, but one shaped by atmosphere and perception.

Sky Rain, Water Curtains and other immersive experiences

Among Aquaforms most distinctive solutions are Sky Rain and Water Curtains, which are often integrated with pools to redefine the role of water within the space.

These elements transform ceilings and vertical surfaces into active features. Water, light and reflections interact continuously, altering depth, boundaries and spatial perception. Crossing a water curtain or standing beneath a Sky Rain system is an experience that engages the body and the senses in a single immersive moment. Sound, movement, light and aromas contribute to a layered atmosphere that envelop the spa guest and leaves a lasting impression.

Alongside these signature solutions, Aquaform also develops experience shower systems, horizontal showers, Kneipp paths and other advanced water technologies. Each of these follows the same principle, contributing to a unified language rather than functioning as isolated features.

Aquaform’s approach to shaping human sensation

At the centre of every project is the person: what they feel, how the body reacts and how perception shifts while moving through water, heat and light. Aquaform designs moments that work on multiple levels: physical, sensorial and mental. Water becomes a living presence that can calm, awaken, reset or gently stimulate, shaping different states of wellbeing depending on sequence, intensity and rhythm. The experience is designed to be remembered not as a function, but as a sensation that lingers in the memory – a form of quiet immersion that connects gesture, breath and perception.

The architectural interpretation of these experiences can elevate them to another level. Aquaform does not apply standard products. Each system is adapted to the concept of the spa, ensuring full integration and avoiding the typical 'added equipment' effect. Water, light and technical elements are calibrated as part of a single spatial composition, where design and experience are inseparable.

Today, offering the correct wellness path is not enough. The difference lies in creating experiences that people remember, where water enhances perception, makes people feel cared for and delivers transformation.
