Marriott has introduced its first W Hotels location in Prague, including one of the brand's signature AWAY Spas
The five-treatment-room spa is designed to encourage social wellness experiences and provide an urban escape in the city
Open to hotel and day guests, the spa offers 3-, 6- and 12-month memberships
W Hotels, the Marriott-owned luxury hospitality brand, has debuted its signature AWAY Spa concept in the Czech Republic with the launch of W Prague, a stylish 161-key property in the heart of central Prague.

Located on Wenceslas Square, the five-treatment-room spa has been designed as an urban escape that blends modern wellness amenities with the cultural richness of its surroundings.

At its centre is a spacious bathing area featuring a large swimming pool, designed to serve as a tranquil urban retreat. The spa also includes a Finnish sauna, a steamroom, a Jacuzzi and the All Seasons Water Journey, a multisensory immersive experience where guests are invited to experience the sensations of all four seasons.

Additional amenities include the beauty bar and lounge area, which features day beds and a tea and snack station.

The spa provides a variety of services, such as massages and facials powered by Comfort Zone, as well as specialised offerings including nail care, hair and scalp treatments and Theragun therapies.

In addition, fitness enthusiasts can make use of the brand’s Fit gym, equipped with Matrix equipment and Fitness on Demand programming.

For local residents, the spa offers 3-, 6- and 12-month memberships that combine access to wellness and fitness facilities, reinforcing its connection to the community.

Sense of place
The facility is housed within the newly renovated W Prague, which integrates modern facilities into the historic Grand Hotel Evropa, an Art Nouveau building from the early 20th century.

A collaboration between architectural firms Benoy, AvroKO’s London Studio, and Chapman Taylor preserved key historical features while adding a nine-story elliptical wing designed by DAM architects.

Notable design elements include a crystal installation by Preciosa Lighting and Pavla Doležalová in the restored atrium, which incorporates handcrafted Bohemian crystals to create a “dripping” visual effect.

“As we debut W Prague, we’re not just opening a new hotel – we’re breathing new life into one of the city’s most iconic landmarks,” said George Fleck, SVP and global brand leader W Hotels.

“W Prague fuses the enchanted history of the storied destination with bold, visionary design, creating an experience that both honours the city’s deep cultural legacy and embraces its vibrant, modern energy.

“This opening is a further representation of W Hotels’ momentum in Europe and beyond, setting a fresh standard for what luxury can mean in the heart of such a beloved city.”

W Prague is the latest milestone in the brand’s expansion, joining a portfolio of 71 W Hotels across North America, Europe, APAC, the Middle East and the Caribbean. Forty-three of these properties feature an AWAY Spa.
