Global spa resource SpaFinder has revealed the results of its latest State of Spa Travel survey.

A total of 370 travel agents completed the annual survey during June and July this year. Although the majority of respondents were North-American based travel representatives, global travel agents were also included.

According to the 2008 results, spa travel bookings in 2007 increased for more than half – 58 per cent – of respondents and the same amount expect there to be a growth in bookings over 2007. A further 29 per cent expected bookings to remain steady while only 13 per cent reported a decline.

The study is intended to illuminate trends in spa travel, examining areas such as consumer adoption, pricing and demographics.
