World Spa and Wellness Awards 2022 winners unveiled

Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary & Holistic Spa in Koh Samui scooped the award for Worldwide Health & Wellness Destination of the Year Credit: Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary & Holistic Spa
The winners of the World Spa and Wellness (WSW) Awards have been crowned as part of the official 2022 WSW Conference, hosted on 3 and 4 April at Excel Centre in London.

The accolades recognise destinations that set the standards in client service and care, business management and leadership.

The winners – selected from across the globe – are deemed to offer exceptional facilities and treatments while 'going the extra mile', inspiring others in the industry with their business models

This year, winners were announced at a dedicated awards gala hosted aboard a luxury yacht in London.

The full list of winners in all 13 categories:

• Spa of the Year - Asia & Australasia: Fivelements Retreat Wellness Sanctuary, Bali, Indonesia.
• Spa of the Year - Middle East & Africa: The Spa at Sharq Village & Spa, Doha, Qatar.
• Spa of the Year - North & South America: Piedra de Agua, Cuenca, Ecuador.
• Spa of the Year - Eastern Europe: Kalloni Spa at Parklane Resort and Spa, Limassol, Cyprus.
• Day Spa of the Year - Western Europe & Scandinavia: Eden Elements at Eden One, Dublin, Ireland.
• Hotel Spa of the Year - Western Europe & Scandinavia: Serenity Spa at Seaham Hall, Seaham, UK.
• Resort Spa of the Year - Western Europe & Scandinavia: Varsana Spa, Palazzo di Varignana, Bologna, Italy.
• Worldwide Health & Wellness Destination of the Year: Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary & Holistic Spa, Koh Samui, Thailand.
• Sustainable Spa of the Year: The Datai Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia.
• Independent Spa Business of the Year: Lapinha Spa, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
• Spa Leader of the Year: Heidi Grimwood, Atmosphere Wellness, Maldives.
• Team of the Year: Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam.
• Spa Group of the Year: Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
