After years of developing our technology across different formats, we wanted to create something that feels as calm and intuitive as the experience itself
– Juha Suoniemi, Neurosonic's CEO

Finnish wellbeing technology brand Neurosonic has introduced a low-frequency vibration chair called Serene, designed to provide a nervous system reset.

The technology within the chair is said to activate the body’s natural “rest and recovery response,” guiding the body from states of stress to calm in a natural and safe way.

The vibrations are believed to slow users’ breathing, ease muscle tension, settle the heart rate and quieten the mind. The brand says the benefits, which can be felt after just a few sessions, include improved sleep quality, enhanced recovery and stress reduction.

The recliner, which is controlled via an app, can integrate with other technologies, such as Oura and Apple Health, to provide users with data-led insights into physical changes within their bodies.

Neurosonic provides furniture with calibrated vibrations to several different sectors, including spas, clinics, corporate offices, elite sports facilities and private homes.

The philosophy behind the brand is that recovery should be accessible, intuitive and grounded in science – not trends or effort.

Juha Suoniemi, Neurosonic’s CEO, said: “Serene is not a departure from what we do; it’s the distillation of it. After years of developing our technology across different formats, we wanted to create something that feels as calm and intuitive as the experience itself.”

The chair retails for £4,490 including VAT and €4,490 in Europe.

Neurosonic - for a better body and mind balance. Neurosonic produces very low-frequency vibrations. As a natural mechanism, vibrational energy has a balancing effect directly on the autonomic nervous system. The Neurosonic relaxation method directs the body into a meditation-like state, whereby recovery is accelerated and enhanced. The healthy mechanisms of sleep are restored, and at the same time, many other things in the body and mind get a chance to be repaired.
